Take every obstacle over, not around, for an hour
“Hauling yourself over a wall in daylight with people about feels like something a grown adult is not supposed to do, which is exactly why an hour of it rewires what your body thinks it is allowed.”
The Recipe
- Pick a route with things in the way: low walls, benches, railings, barriers, a run of steps.
- For one hour, get over every safe, waist-high obstacle you meet under your own power instead of walking round it.
- Skip anything above your waist, wet, or with a bad landing: the dare is the commitment, not an injury.
- Keep moving the whole hour, and take the harder line every time you have the choice.
